What is Workplace?
An in-house application that serves as an efficient HRMS, streamlining various employee management tasks and enhancing the overall human resource operations within the organization.

My objective was to find out how often users use the HRMS application and what obstacles they encounter. This information will help you move forward in defining the problem.

Employees had trouble finding the specific information they were looking for in the application.
These were the main findings
"Not able to track the status of applied leave" -> "Unable to see if leave request has been approved or not."
. "Not able to see available leave" -> "Cannot view the remaining leave"
"Not able to see the status for applied leave" -> "Cannot find out the current status of the leave request."
"Unnecessary notification" -> "Getting irrelevant notifications."
"Chance of accidental clicks for check-in & check-out" -> "There's a risk of accidentally checking in or out."
Difficulty in keeping track of leave history.
Unattractive interface.
Having multiple applications with a complex structure and hierarchy.
Don’t have access to training materials through the app.
Unable to track the time of logging out.
App crashes and errors.
Inability to check out.
The project manager and our team want to show all the results to the client, but the client only wants a solution based on the pandemic's impact on the organization.
We were all taken back. We decided to do a user interview to identify the problems early due to our time constraints.

Progress Indicators
I have integrated gamification and avatar progression into induction or training programs, so organizations can create a more engaging and effective learning environment that promotes knowledge retention and employee development.
Retention Indicators
This helps employees by notifying them of their lack of progress, which makes their avatars lose quality and harms their character's overall health. This health gradually decreases over time, and to maintain it, employees must make progress every day.

This revamp offered lots of growth in a fast-paced environment
Fast thinking and decision-making. Since it was a quick sprint, I was pushed to make quick decisions and learned how to make decisions based on the data available to me.
Power of diverging as a team and then coming together to share our thoughts. To save time, we divided the work and created our designs and iterations for each feature. We then came together to share our ideas. This opened up ideas that one or the other of us would've never come up with before.
Balancing business and user needs. The revamp pushed me to brainstorm ways in which we could incorporate the business needs while not taking away from a smooth experience.
